- developing links and fostering a better understanding of the roles of BME-led advice-providing organisations working in London
- assisting and influencing central and local government bodies, funders and policy makers in carrying out their functions, where they relate to the work of the London BME-led advice sector
- identifying relevant social policy issues in order to co-ordinate joint campaigns and joint responses to consultations on behalf of BAN
- supporting better outcomes for BME communities affected by poverty and disadvantage
